With launch three weeks away, reports about GTA VI review timing are circulating. None of them come from Rockstar or Take-Two.
The claim
On October 23, a ResetEra poster with a fair track record of past predictions claimed the review embargo ends on November 18, a day before launch, with aggregate scores appearing early that morning. The same report says some outlets or YouTube channels may wait until launch day.
Review copies
- Insider NateTheHate was cited by Notebookcheck saying review copies would go out before the end of October, giving reviewers about three weeks with the game.
- Notebookcheck's reporting adds that digital codes had not yet reached journalists or creators at the time.
- An earlier claim from May described supervised review sessions at a secure location instead of codes. The two accounts are not necessarily contradictory — they describe different review setups.
Caveats
Rockstar has not announced an embargo date, nor how many outlets will receive early access. Treat November 18 as a rumour until it is confirmed.
