GTA 6 has been hit by several high-profile leaks. This page summarises public reporting so readers can tell official trailers from stolen development material. We do not embed, mirror or transcribe leak videos.

Our policy

Contribute pages, screenshots and mission guides from official trailers, Rockstar posts and (after launch) the retail game. Stolen assets and playable-build dumps stay off GTA6Wiki.io.

Timeline

  • September 2022 — 90+ clips and stills from an in-development build posted on GTAForums (the first major leak). Later debug audio from that era is how the community first tied the project to the HD Universe (Jay Norris idle-line tests).
  • December 2023 — Trailer 1 leaked hours before premiere; Rockstar released it early. A TikTok clip claimed a 360° view of Interstate 97 in Vice City.
  • January 2025 — Reddit posts showed a PS5 development kit running the game (photo + short videos).
  • November 2025 — A former Rockstar Toronto animator’s demo reel included unseen vehicle animation.
  • August 2026 — Group styling itself CYBERLEEK began posting gameplay and map images from a purported playable build (from August 18), including story cutscene fragments. Take-Two issued takedowns. Rockstar later called the wave of leaks heartbreaking for the team.

Fabrications

AI videos, Blender maps and fake box art circulate constantly. If a “leak” has no independent press corroboration and no Rockstar fingerprint, assume it is fan content. Official sources: trailers, development, Extended Look.
