The GTA 6 plot follows career criminals and partners Lucia Caminos and Jason Duval. Rockstar has not published a full mission list, but the official description and trailers establish the spine of the story.
Official logline
Vice City, USA. After an easy score collapses, Lucia and Jason find themselves on the darkest side of the sunniest place in America — inside a conspiracy that spans the state of Leonida. Survival means trusting each other more than ever.
Promotional copy also ties the conspiracy to the Vice City Police Department, pushing the pair from neon downtown into rural counties, ports and the Keys.
The couple
Unlike silent female leads in older GTA games, Lucia is a fully voiced protagonist — the series’ first. Jason is framed as a seasoned Leonida criminal. Together they are a romantic duo, not two separate campaigns bolted together. Mission design in character switching is expected to play on that partnership.

HD Universe
GTA VI continues the HD Universe timeline after GTA IV (2008) and GTA V / Online (2013–present). Leonida retcons off-hand “Florida” mentions from GTA IV while staying consistent with HD Vice City lore (geography, communities, brands) established since IV.
